Living with vestibular migraine can feel incredibly isolating.
Many people spend years trying to understand symptoms that nobody seems able to fully explain.
You try medications.
You avoid triggers.
You search constantly for answers.
And after a while, it becomes exhausting trying to piece everything together on your own.
The problem is:Â most people are only shown a very small part of the vestibular migraine recovery picture.
Usually: medication, trigger avoidance and maybe vestibular rehab
But recovery is often much more layered than that.
Could This Be Vestibular Migraine?
Many people don’t realize symptoms like these can all be connected:
- motion sickness

- sensitivity to scrolling, screens, lights, or driving

- feeling like you’re floating or walking on a boat
- brain fog and exhaustion after stimulation
- unexplained balance issues
- symptoms that come and go unpredictably
Some people are diagnosed quickly.
Many are misdiagnosed for years.

Dr. Emily Kostelnik
Clinical Psychologist & Fellow Vestibular Warrior
I’m Emily Kostelnik, a Clinical Health Psychologist specializing in Health Psychology and someone who truly understands what it means to live with chronic dizziness. I’ve been diagnosed with SCDS, BPPV, vestibular migraine, and PPPD. I’ve walked through the fear, the isolation, the frustration of being misunderstood, and the slow, uncertain road toward healing, especially during my postpartum journey. I know what it feels like when your world shrinks and your body no longer feels predictable or safe.
Over the past nine years, I’ve immersed myself in vestibular research while integrating trauma science, neuroplasticity, inflammation research, and mind-body medicine. I’ve seen what works clinically. And I’ve lived what works personally.
You don’t have to piece this together alone.
This is the path I built so you don’t have to walk it without direction.
